Handmade boulder opal and silk necklace 2

This unique handmade necklace features an Australian boulder opal from Koroit in North Queensland Set into a heavily textured sterling silver backing and attached to the silk cord by a silver snake with a gold head.

This piece has a definite Egyptian influence to it and I call it the scarab necklace.

The clasps and sleeves on the silk necklace are made from sterling silver.
