A unique handmade sterling silver and gold ring with a south sea black pearl. 

The pearl is an 8mm diameter half section and comes from the Cook islands. I was fortunate to acquire a small parcel of quality black pearls from my mother who is a lives in Rarotonga.

The gold granulations contrast beautifully against the pearl itself and makes for a very eyecatching ring. I have one more of these rings that I will post up on this site in the comming weeks.

The rich natural texture on the sterling silver band is achieved by a traditional artisan technique called reticulation and is only found on handmade silver jewelry.
