This striking handmade sterling silver ring is decorated with an ancient tribal symbol of a star. This is another example of an ancient motif that expresses well in a modern context.

Note the contrast between the rustic textured silver band and the gold star. Although this is a chunky ring, it has a refreshing lightness to it.

I initially designed this piece to be a mens ring but it would look equally in place if worn by a women.

The rich natural texture on the sterling silver band looks like a hammered finish, but is actually achieved by bringing the silver close to its melting point and allowing small ripples to naturally form on the suface.

No two rings ever end up having the same texture. This technique is only found on handmade silver jewelry.
